Lisa Minogue is a Melbourne based visual artist who works with photographic and digital art. Lisa completed a Diploma of Photo Imaging (2015) at Melbourne Polytechnic and was awarded, Student of the Year Photoimaging and Outstanding Student of the Year, Faculty of Art Awards. Lisa' s creative influences include, painters, Tretchikoff, John Brack and Kehinde Wiley; Malian photographer Malick Sidibe; US photographer Annie Leibovitz and stylist Grace Coddington.
Lisa’s work explores chronic cultural issues such as race and inequality. Lisa is particularly sensitive to the issue of unfair cultural appropriation as a white woman and through her work emphasises her mindfulness of other's culture and identity.
Lisa has worked collaboratively with her subjects to produce The Coloured Girls. Lisa will continue to promote social issues through her work in the hope of aiding education and healing the scars of many cultural minorities calling Melbourne home.
